Aerial FAQs

Can I just rent the UAV?

No, we only offer it as a complete service-the drone comes with an experienced pilot (and sometimes a camera operator).

Can the drone fly in the rain?

Yes

How does wind affect the UAV?

We have flown in 30 mph winds, but wind above 8m/s makes it difficult to have steady shots.

Can you take still shots?

Yes, we can!

How high can the drone fly?

Generally the answer is up to 400 feet above the nearest building or structure. Our pilots are licensed operators and work in and around all FAA guidelines. Some flights require some prep time to get clearance for certain airspace so contact us early in your planning, but with some coordinated effort, we have been able to achieve the shots that are clients have requested.

(For reference: most of the footage you loved in our demo reel was filmed around 100-200 feet high.)

Can you fly inside?

We love to fly inside, as long as it is safe!

Who owns the footage?

If you are paying a full rate for our services… YOU DO! If you are getting our services at a discounted rate, the footage will come with a licensing agreement.
